Fiji 2013

Fiji 2013

The family holiday

Diving on family holiday in Fiji.
Stayed at Warwick With 3 dives from there and 2 with Bega shark dives.
And plenty of snorkelling in reef in front of Warwick

Dives 272-276
First dive is a wall dive just in front of resort.

Resort beach area is sheltered by the old volcanic rim that sits just off shore. the wall drops away to 100 metres on outside.

Low tide meant walk to boat through old resort ruins.
(resort put in before roads, and cheap arifares didn't get enough clients to come.. go figure..)

main feature is a white soft coral on the wall.  as per photos below.

.

Dive two and three : Shark Diving/ feeding.
First dive is Bull Sharks drop fed using a wheelie bin from above and white/black tip reef sharks
Second dive is hand feeding the Bull Sharks

Second Dive

Dives four And Five, with South Pacific Adventures (dive shop at Warrick) , good boat, great guides, great dives in the Bega Lagoon reefs  with a surprise wreck!  Vis was very very good.
Dives were 20 metre, 50 minutes dives so plenty of time to enjoy.

Fishing Trawler wreck Video

Dive Five - Reef

Surface interval , nice little island beach.

Interesting Swim through

Snorkelling at the Warrick.

Great to show the kids the fish and underwater life.
depth is rarely above shoulder height, calm waters but the depth does mean the coral is not pristine.
But still hours of fun to be had..
