A nice early morning dive at mornington pier With Lynn , Helen, Peter.
Pier is in state of repair and is missing the middle section.
However the thing for me was to try out some new camera settings, after reading an article on using f stops underwater.

So the theory goes that using a higher f stop allows the back ground to become black or blue, thereby highlighting the subject more.




this is using an external flash and cannon s95.

 After a  few trys and finally settling on AV pirority and iso setting of 80-150 range an a f stop of 5-8 results started improving very nicely as per the picture above and to the right.

 This photo used a lower f stop and iso of 150 with the flash adjusted up.

This photo i think has too much flash but given the water was not all that clear it was not a bad result.
