Evening dive with simon.

Conditions were ok but typical Mornington with lower vis.

A great dive today in great conditions.

Started by recovery of phone lost by fisherman, then headed out to elise reef 

Followed by  cruise around the pier.

Unfortunately either i am out of camera experience or the sony is getting old, very few good pictures today..

Easy dive with simon and craig. Nice dice and a good way to get the gear checked and settled before we start on boats.

Dive with Simon today , almost on our own and the conditions were near perfect.

entered about 15 minutes after high tide with no wind and very flat.

Dive with craig at rye pier, new exit stairs are excellent , sea life was a bit quite just that time of the year just prior to the summer burst of life

Nice dive with craig , craig testing his new strobe and lights and me the TG6. Very pleased at how the tg6 worked considering only lighting was from handheld video light. Pics shown with small crops only . But conditions were very good. 

Flinders pier

First dive after restrictions so ot didnt matter how bad the viz we were in..

Good dive with simon at flinders a bit too early from high tide so copped some very murky water. But thats flinders .

Used the new olympus tg6 for this dive no lights just the tg6 so unfair to evaluate on such a dive but liked it a lot for ease and reasonable photos given the limited viz.

Boat dive with redboats to test my new mask the earmold version with ear cups. the principal being you blow out through your nose and then there is tubes that allows for air travel to a cup that sits over the ear. previous shallow shore dives seem to work well, so it was time to test at depth.8888

          first time off a boat in a quite a while so the focus was not on camera but just getting things right,

the new mask was certainly better but still a bit of issues getting down. I think with a bit more practice with the mask it will work.
At least the ears stayed dry although I think the tubes that run from the mask to the ears may be squeezing at depth and therefore not allowing the air to travel freely.

Quick dive under the today as second test for new mask

Mask includes the ear cups and balancing tubes , worked well so next step is a deeper dive to see how it really works.

Nice dive , but think the wild life knew it was a good day to be out deep.

Flinders Pier

Flinders Pier with Craig, dive at high tide for 60 minutes , vis not as good aprox 90  minutes before high tide. good to be back in at flinders though.

A brilliant dive today with Simon, Lynne, Remi.

A lot of life including some spider crabs , large schools of fish , heaps of rays and even a few nudi's.

80 minutes of bliss!

Boat Dive with Lynne and Graeme with Red Boats to Boar Fish Reef, a very nice dive and day out!. using the sony and aldi go pro cameras so mostly video on this dive.

Night Dive with Simon Kay at Ricketts Point. went out from the actual point toward the bouys on an incoming tide.  waves increased from gearing up to entry and throughout the dive.  making it a difficult dive with surge and lower vis, we ended the dive after 50 minutes when we realised we were at 9 metres! which at rickets mean you are a long way out!. the surface swim home then proved to be more difficult than normal due to a rip (which is why i think we ended up so far out). Still a good evening of diving is always refreshing!.

Nice dive with Lynne today at Mornington Pier, Victoria.

conditions were great above but just ok under the pier.  like always the dive here can be somewhat prone to low vis and a bit of a muck dive under the pier.
Life appears to be returning to the pier after the re-modelling but today not huge amounts of fish life.

Great to be back in the water today with Christie diving Portsea pier and exploring west to the reef for weedy sea dragons

         Like a lot of dives at Portsea conditions can be somewhat challenging with strong surges and limited visabillity.
 But still a lot to see if you have the time or want to challenge your diving or photographic skills.

Good to see the ray and due to Christie keen eye a sea dragon.

Sneaky friday dive with simon kay at blairgowrie pier. 1st attempt didnt go well with a neck seal failure , however 2nd was good. dive started on a flood tide.

vis was great and before the tide changed was the best i had seen it. even though the day was wet and windy but very flat within the marina.

Day of diving on the family holiday to Cairns.

Good day out , but the reef looked a bit worse for wear, most likely due to the number of boats at the dive location.  2 dives nice being warm for a dive in July!

Dive at Blairgowrie Pier after a break from diving, good to be back in the water although it was colder than last time.

Afternoon dive with Remie and Simon, sea life a bit down but most likely due to spider crabs being through in the last few weeks.
