Very nice if busy dive today at rye pier. and very good to be back in the water after a break from diving!

 This time of the year the fish life is good under the pier , just need to be mindful of staying under the pier with the number of jet ski's around.

Last minute dive at Blairgowrie, next few days dont look like divable conditions so it was today or never.

 And a very good dive it was with very calm conditions and a reasonable amount of sea life out and about.

A very good dive today with Simon and Lynne at one of the best piers in Victoria.

 The new weed mats have created some great hiding spaces along the leading edges.
and definitely nudi heaven today!

Nice dive with Remi today at Blairgowrie,

Been awhile since we have done here, and the life is slowly coming back after the construction works, although sea life is still somewhat limited. Dive was about 3 hours before high tide, with current only becoming noticeable toward end of dive.

A nice dive  on the wall, tried out using the camera without strobes , with some higher iso and manual settings. ok but strobes are better. still nice to dive.

(first time in over 150 dives without a camera)

and yes we did see seals, smooth rays, and all sorts of great creatures to photograph.

J4 and The Zoo

Great day of diving with Remi and Friends, with Dive Vic, frist dive was the J4 Sub which located outside the heads was a bit rougher than expected with low vis on the Sub. But still not a bad dive. 

The 2nd dive for the day was the Zoo, just down from boar fish reef to keep a bit more away from the heads , this was a very relaxing dive of around 18-20 meters  with a wide variety of fish life, including smooth rays, blue devil fish etc.

A day dive with red boats and Lynne to Boar Fish Reef.  although rough at portsea , calm conditions at the dive site due to winds being from the west.

A nice dive of 50 minutes & 22 Meters. wit some of my favorite Blue Devil fish's hiding under the ledges.  A nice place if you are looking for a shallower boat dive inside the heads.

Lynne photobombs the shot if this very large fish.

A nice night dive on the new pier in Mornington. Dive buddies Craig , Simon & Remi.

Not a bad night but vis was on the lower side , but the creatures are starting to return, will be a very good spot in years to come.

A day of diving with a new boat company - Red Boats, 2 dives the first at dragons lair, which one year i will actually remember that this is outside of the heads and not to ever do unless it is very very flat. - So first dive has no photos , but we did see the sea dragons , a port Jackson shark and a number of other things, but surge here kept visibility very low.  The 2nd dive was great wall diving in Melbourne, great conditions , very good boat to operate from and good buddies.

Nice Dive At Linley point with Reemie, 

Reasonable amount to see, calm day made it a very relaxing dive. Reef has lots to fossick around in ,

Depth 6.2 meters out the back.

Couple of notes:
Watch for boats suggest surface swim until on the other side of boat ramp.
Head toward the green marker bouy as trying to shortcut is too shallow for fun diving.

Nice lazy sunday dive with Lynne, at Mornington Pier. The fish life is returning and although the vis was  low it was still a pleasant dive of 55 minutes with 9.1 metres and a sea temp of 17c.

Old Wives return to Pier in good numbers!

A really nice easy dive today at Flinders pier.

Pier entry shore exit, always easy at flinders. dive in an hour before low tide , 2 days reasonably calm seas, not a deep dive but very good and relaxing. Also a very good test for your buoyancy.

Fantastic dive today on the port phillip wall at devils drop off, with Lynne, Mary-Anne and Andrea. some of the best  dive conditions today, great vis, no surge, seas flat as a tack!
